Stock Protools Template

Get an organized starting point for recording and mixing vocals using stock Pro Tools plugins. Built around my workflow, this template includes dedicated tracks for your beat, lead vocals, doubles, background vocals, and ad-libs—with processing chains and effects routing already in place.

Record your takes, move them onto the appropriate vocal tracks, and adjust the sound to fit your voice and song.

What’s inside:

• Dedicated beat and recording tracks
• Lead vocal tracks for main takes, doubles, and stacks
• Left and right background vocal tracks
• Ad-lib tracks, including a telephone-style effects track
• Separate buses for lead vocals, backgrounds, and ad-libs
• Short and long reverbs, plus eighth-note and quarter-note delays
• Mix bus processing to shape your overall sound and control peaks
• Color-coded tracks and session notes for easy navigation

Vocal tuning: This template includes vocal processing and effects, but no automatic pitch correction or Auto-Tune-style processing. If you want tuned vocals, add your own compatible pitch-correction plugin.

Requirements: A compatible version of Pro Tools with the stock plugins used in this session installed. Pro Tools software is not included.

Use the template as your starting point, then adjust levels, processing, and effects to suit your recording.
